The social network launched a new feature that will display ads to users based on their search queries, a strategy used effectively by Google and other Internet search engines.
We have launched a tool that displays sponsored results while internal results when someone searches for things on Facebook, “said a spokesman for Facebook .
“We try to show people the applications and pages that will be more interested,” he added.
The world’s largest social network gets most of its revenue from advertising, but had not directly linked those ads to search queries as do the big search engines like Google and Yahoo!
Until now, advertising on Facebook appeared only in a separate column.
This decision by Facebook comes at a time when the social network is to reassure investors that they can increase their income after a long-awaited but disastrous stockmarket flotation in May, after which its share price fell by more than half .
Even the disastrous path of actions Facebook and strategies led to think the market itself is not time for Mark Zuckerberg, founder of social network, step aside.
