Google Search, ready for Windows 8

google-searchGoogle has launched its search application Google Search designed specifically for Windows 8, the new operating system from Microsoft. The main characteristic of the interface of the search engine is the ease to access more quickly to the list of Google products and applications, history and search by voice.

The final version of Windows 8 will arrive on October 26, at the same time that the family of tablets’ Surface. Google has been advanced to this official launch and has submitted its application for search adapted to the main screen of Windows 8. The search by voice, which can be accessed directly by ‘click’ on the icon of the microphone located underneath the main search box, can ask Google orally for an immediate response.


In addition, web browser will display the images including the results by way of ‘slide’ at the top of the page. Access the Google search engine from the Search Charm of Windows 8 engine is now easier thanks to this new application. Among its main innovations is the possibility to access the history to see the sites visited recently directly from the clock icon located on the home page of the application, together with the application icon and the search by voice.

As already occurs with the version of the search engine of Google Desktop in other operating systems, this application for Windows 8 also offers a preview of the results without having to visit each page. The application also has the option of instant Google search, which provides results in real time while the user types the words, no need to press the ‘Enter’ button enabled.

The application of Google for Windows 8 is free and is now available for download.
