Western Digital hard drives higher performance of an SSD

Western Digital today unveiled two models of portable storage unit, according to comments from company officials, would ensure fast acceleration performance than those of the SSDs. 
‘s flagship product is the new My Book VelociRaptor Duo , a solution for storing data of an external unit that integrates two discs fixed with rotational speeds of up to 10,000 revolutions per minute. The configurations of the hard drives used are RAID 0 and RAID 1 hard drives that make up the new drive from Western Digital VelociRaptor can accommodate the data by dividing them equally without logging any information parity or redundancy or they can create an exact copy of the information on the two hard disk (“ mirroring“). 


The My Book VelociRaptor Duo offers two Thunderbolt ports 10 Gbps and offers in the box, even the cable which usually cost around 50 euros. 
VelociRaptor The cost of the Duo is not exactly “popular” ($ 899) but it is likely that the price will decline in coming months.
