WinRAR version 4.20 (final release)

winrarArchiver WinRAR, which is the brainchild of Eugene Roshal, officially “grown” to version 4.20 (on the tradition of passing several stages before beta-testing). We recall some of the functionality of the application. Unpack the archive of the formats supported by RAR, ZIP, CAB, ARJ, LZH, TAR, GZ, ACE, UUE, BZ2, JAR, ISO, 7Z, Z. Compression of data available in the native format of RAR, as well as ZIP. Archiver different advanced functionality (data encryption, and multi-volume self-extracting archives, the ability to repair damaged files, etc.), ease of use, built-in tool to check performance, etc. With version 3.5 you can use the advanced topics (imaging) user interface.


In the new version there was a modification of the algorithm for the compression format, RAR: optimized for multicore processors, increased memory addressability. Gone support Windows 2000 operating systems archiver WinRAR self-extracting modules, and RAR. The author also expresses slightly increased rate of extraction format, RAR, optimization (for multi-core processors), the process of compression in ZIP format, etc.
